The trick to not burning is to gradually get used to it so if you have not been tanning before start with a low number like 5 minutes a time for the first week and gradually increase as long as you don’t burn. If you get a slight burn one time skip a couple days before going back and don’t add more time the next couple trips. The person at the salon should be able to recommend a starting time based on the maximum time of the bed. Also if you eat fish or take fish oil supplements regularly the Omega 3 fatty acids in fish oil will help your skin protect itself from sun damage.
