What is the best graphics card?
hi mate there are three catergories of graphic cards when looking for a new card,these are 1)budget : these cards are below £75 and are probally the most popular of all the three catergorys 2)mid-range : these are from £75 up to £200 and are the next popular and mainly bought by gamers 3)high-end :these cards are over £200 and can range up to £500 or even more,these cards are bought by hard core gamers who demand the best graphics at this present time the best cards are pci-express based and out of these the nvidia geforce gtx280 is the best,however the gtx280 is extremely expensive but amazingly fast,the gtx260 uses the same chipset and is only slightly slower than the gtx280 on the ati radeon range the ATI Radeon HD 4870 is the king of the hill,theres a dual gpu version aswell and these cards are much cheaper than the nvidia powercards and represent better value for money if i were looking for a powerful all round card ideal for gaming and all other tasks then the ATI Radeon HD 4870
