As a dog owner for many years, and trying many flea products, I can honestly say that Frontline is the best product I have tried. It both kills and repels fleas and ticks, with only one application a month in between the dog’s shoulder blades. If you are looking for a quick fix to kill fleas, try using Ivory dishwashing soap – it kills fleas dead! It doesn’t do too well on prevention, however, and dogs have sensitive skin, so I wouldn’t wash your dog more than once every two weeks. Unfortunately, Frontline is not very cheap: it is about $48 for a box containing 3 applications (well, at my vet anyway!). It is well worth the investment, though! All the “cheap” products that I’ve tried do not remotely hold a candle to Frontline.
