What is the best feeder food for blue jays and woodpeckers?
Sunflower seeds are the best all-round seeds for the greatest variety of winter birds (both blue jays and woodpeckers will eat them). Suet is another good choice — woodpeckers love it. If you put out both suet and sunflower seeds, you should be able to keep these birds happy.
