What is the best fax service?
I am using PopFax.com internet fax service for a long time and I’d like it more. There is a Free Trial without the need of providing you credit card nr. Receiving faxes is for free and unlimited, but sending them is just 0,05 EUR/page. It’s pretty easy and reliable to use their fax to email service. There are also new options.
Unless you only need to send or receive a fax “once in a blue moon,” the best fax service is the one you run from your own office. Fax machines have become so cheap these days that the paid services quickly become more expensive than doing it yourself. The free services are okay for individuals, but they add advertisements to cover their costs, and that makes your message–and therefore your business–look cheesy. Here is an example of a pretty decent, inexpensive fax machine, combined with a copier and extra phone, all for under $60: http://www.jr.com/brother/pe/BRT_FAX575/ The page above is from jr.com, but it is just one example. You can buy the same fax machine at the same price at Staples and elsewhere. And other brands are available for not much more money. We found that we were only sending one fax a week, on average, but it still pays to have our own machine. I hope this helps.
