Graphics on the web will only display at between 72 and 96 dpi. Graphics produced/saved at higher dpi will generally not display better than 96 dpi on the web and will have unnecessarily large file sizes. Images designed for print-based media, such as brochures or magazine publication, should be created at a higher resolution, generally higher than 600 dpi minimum. Web graphics should not used for printed media.
