PC World says that the Fujitsu ScanSnap s500 is the best document scanner for the value that you get. The only feature on this list not offered is advanced bundled software. The ScanSnap s300 also offers all of the above in a more portable scanner.On the Other: Sidekick 1200 Color DuplexerThe Bell and Howell Sidekick 1200 Color Duplex is energy-efficient and offers all of the features listed above as well as photo-scanning features. However, a closer look reveals that this scanner is considerably more expensive than the ScanSnap option.Bottom LineThe Fujitsu ScanSnap line of document scanners is the best line to look at to get a good document scanner. Either the s500 or the s300 should meet your needs.
