What is the Best city in Australia?
Definately Adelaide! Hills, beaches, city, country, wine regions… everything is within 40 minutes drive of the city… you can get some fantastic houses for MUCH less than sydney, we are surrounded by parks and plenty of shopping in rundle mall, harbour town and melbourne street/king william street if your a bit more upmarket….
I have to put in a word for Sydney. It’s beautiful and has all the classic “sights” and the facilities you’d expect in a true world-class city, plus fabulous beaches and good transport (most of the time!). Okay, the cost of living is high but the pay is high too, if you have the right kind of job. (Honestly, though, I wouldn’t choose to live in Sydney if I was low-paid – although a survey today has revealed that Adelaide is even more of a rip-off for groceries and petrol).
