I would suggest that you purchase China Mobile’s pre-paid SIM card with numbers starting with “159”.It used to cost 0.60 yuan for incoming as well as outgoing calls,however they have cut the prices and now on numbers starting with “159” the incoming calls are free while outgoing local calls are charged at 0.25 yuan per min.Beware that the roaming charges are still high,so if you purchase a Shanghai SIM and use it in Beijing,you will be charged roaming charges for all calls you receive from other places.The SMS costs 0.20 yuan.
