What is the best Brunch in Los Angeles,California?

This is place was always packed every morning with a variety of people spilling out onto the sidewalk on both the cafe/takeout side and the sit down side. Got me thinking, I need to try this place.Stopped by one day for coffee and a take out breakfast. The lattes are perfection. whoever is operating that machine knows his espresso and his steamed milk. Got the breakfast panini sandwich, they forgot to um..panini press the sandwich. it was still good though. Hearty portions.Trip 2, coffee and a blueberry muffin. Dad, who is extra picky about his mochas gives this place his hard to attain stamp of approval. he had a pastry and that was a hit too.Trip 3, coffee and blueberry pancakes to go. HOLY SCHNIKES! rarely do i find pancakes life changing but these had plump juicy berries dotted all over the dinner plate sized pancake (you get three of those by the way) and was served with lemon butter and maple syrup. I almost didn’t make it to work that day. I almost wanted to pul

I don’t know why I don’t love Dusty’s. The atmosphere was cozy. The wait staff was friendly and did their job. The food was good. Parking was easy. Maybe my big hang up is that the food is very expensive, but nothing special. It’s good, but if I am paying 18 bucks for a burger and fries, I guess I expect phenomenal. I’m glad I tried this place once, but it wasn’t mind blowing enough for a round two. Pros + Nice atmosphere, good serviceCons – it was so-so for me

I had out-of-town guests in for the week and of course they want to experience L.A. Given this place has been in the exact same spot for 85 years I thought it would be a good choice – and it turn out to be correct. Three people ordered the Fish ‘n Chips with the peanut cole slaw and said it was “perfect”. When the manager found out that we were “first timers” to the restaurant he came over to welcome us… a nice touch. Other than the good service and good food (which wasn’t over priced) I love that even though the restraurant was packed it wasn’t noisey.

For appetizers, be sure to check out the seafood quesadilla and the filet of tomato salad. It is not a normal salad, it is giant filets of tomato, roasted peppers, with melted cheese on top. But the best part is the raspberry sauce that covers of the plate. For an entree, go with the fish. You pick from any fish in season and any of the numerous ways they can prepare it. But while each dish comes with soup and rice, the portions are all on the smaller side. I’d recommend getting a few appetizers to share.Garibaldi’s weakness is the waitstaff. They speak too fast and don’t explain dishes. They never feel the need to come to the table. The server also forgot a few of our items for dessert. The restaurant is in a terrible area, be careful.Pros + Delicious appetizers, Fresh fishCons – , Bad neighborhood

I know, I know – Chicken & waffles on a plate – together?? YES! This Hollywood eatery seats only about 50 people and any weekend will find a line outside the door – don’t EVEN try to go after after 12 noon on a Sunday when the after church crowd arrives! Celebrities frequent this spot – including Magic Johnson & Jessica Simpson / Nick Lachey. This is authentic soulfood – not overly done, inexpensive and with enough variety that on any visit you’ll find MANY ethnicities enjoying the food. My favorite – and the dish I suggest for newbies – is the #13 – or the Anna C special – one lucious fried chicken breast with one specially seasoned waffle. For those of you who prefer dark meat, you can get that too. There are options for gravey or giblets. Order greens on the side or french fries. They have it all! If you are visiting the area – it’s worth a visit to the spot that is even talked about in movies & TV shows! Drive by Pinks hot dogs and forget trying to get in to one of the f
