There are no “breeds” per say. Guinea pigs come in lots of varieties, but the differences only go appearence-wise. With long-haired guinea pigs, you will need to brush to prevent tangles, but even then, you can simply trim the hair. There are also hairless guinea pigs which will need te be kept warmer. More important than the look of the guinea pigs, is the care involved. You said you just now decided to get some. Well, it isn’t that easy. They are a LOT more difficult to keep than hamsters.
