What is the best brand of MP3 player?
There is no “best” brand, there is only the one you PREFER over any other. Personally, I prefer the RCA LYRA MP3 player. It has a built in FM radio and has the ability to record from the radio, but NOT voice or from an external source. I prefer the RCA because it uses a standard AA cell for power and a standard SD memory card (up to 1gb) to expand the memory capability. There is NO proprietary stuff involved. The MP3 player is just another disk drive as far as my computer is concerned. I can copy ANY MP3 file to my device and listen to it with NO RESTRICTIONS! If you buy into an “I” anything such as an ipod, you are buying into a CLOSED operating system. You are making it such that YOU have NO control and let Apple have ALL of the control over what is in your device AND what you do with your stuff. If you PAY for it, the FCC says it is YOURS, and you can make a copy as a backup, but Apple prevents you from making a LEGAL backup of things YOU PAID FOR. YOU are at the mercy of Apple on w
