What is the best and worst thing about being on tour?
The best is being able to do it for a job which is amazing and getting paid for it. Getting to travel the world and see places a lot of people don’t get to see and to do it with your friends is the best. You know, we’ll go to North Dakota and think, well it’s not like I ever wanted to go there but I don’t know how many people from Hawaii ever get out there and see it. The worst part is that I love to be home. Of course I like to be home home, in Kona but I also like to be at my home in California; be with my girlfriend and people I know, getting to surf and play golf. It’s like two different lives, there’s this life and my “normal” life. It’s been rumored that you don’t have a set song list before a show. Is that true? Yeah, at about half the set we take suggestions from the crowd. And all of our fans are great, they don’t just know one of two of our songs they know almost all of our songs so they’re constantly yelling out what they want to hear or have signs or T-shirts.
