Though Martin is the #1 acoustic brand, low-to-mid-range Martins tend to be iffy — its 000CXE and DCXE guitars, for example, are literally the worst-sounding live guitars I’ve ever heard. However, the $700 DCX1E is superb, with fabulous feel and good sound, as is the OMCX1KE.
