What is the benefit of the pumpdown system on a Cellartemp unit?

0

The pump down system reduces on-site installation time and cost. The evaporator is plugged into a local 13amp supply and the housed outdoor condensing unit also has it’s own supply, so there is no interconnecting electrical wiring between the outdoor unit and evaporator. When the room is down to temperature the Dixell digital control built into the evaporator shuts the liquid line solenoid valve, the suction pressure then falls until the low pressure switch fitted to the outdoor unit trips, so stopping the compressor. On temperature rise the digital controller opens the solenoid valve and the compressor re-starts.
