Employees who enroll in the program are entitled to remain on payroll in active pay status, receiving the difference in pay between their City salary and military pay (where the military pay is less than the City salary), accrue annual leave and sick leave, and continue their preexisting healthcare benefits. Employees whose military pay is greater than their City salary do not receive any differential pay but do continue to accrue annual leave and sick leave and continue their preexisting healthcare benefits.
