What is the benefit of direct FE conversion?
For Finite Element and CFD simulation, converting 3D scan data into STL and CAD formats require remeshing and pre-processing which is time-consuming and very often leads to inaccurate results. In some instances problems are simply intractable due to the complexity in capturing the geometry of the object. +ScanFE bypasses these intermediary steps and generates FE and CFD meshes directly from scan data, which are immediately importable into Abaqus, Ansys, Comsol, Fluent, I-deas, LS-Dyna, and MSC.Patran/Nastran.
