What is the benefit associated with ultraviolet light?
A. The UV light comes on automatically when you run water through the unit and remains on for 30 seconds after the water has been turned off. The low dosage UV treatment given to the water is quite effective for eliminating viruses which require no more than 8,000 microwatts of UV light per second per CM2. Bacteria, which require higher dosages, have already been filtered out if present in your water.
