What is the belt system in Taekwondo?
Woosekwan’s color belt system has 10 steps called Gups, and six colors of belt. White, Gold, Green, Blue, Red, Black. We begin at 10th Gup and proceed to 1st Gup. There are 9 steps in Black Belt called Dans. Every beginner is known as a white belt, they then have to do a physical examination in front of high Dan grades who then decide if the student is good enough to pass. In between students Normally have tags on their belts to indicate which colour they are trying to be promoted to next.
