What is the beach like at Messonghi, in Corfu?
If you are talking about the Messonghi Beach hotel the facilities are very good. I have not personal experience of its beach but the facilities it offers are excellent so I must assume that the beach is of some standards. From the picture on the link it shows as sandy beach. Anyway,whatever it is its texture, rest assured you will be able to walk on it but only the cooler hours of the day because even sand gets very hot during the mid-day and early afternoon hours. However, if sand is what you are looking for, right on the other side of the island and only 15min away is a large sandy beach Halikounas. There you can walk for a long way on the sandy beach.
