What is the beach like at 16th Avenue?
The protected beach at 16th Avenue is FREE and is where the boardwalk begins! It is a short walk across the sand to the ocean. There is a public volleyball court and an area for playing ball. A playground is located to the left of the beach entrance and boardwalk. Don’t worry if you forget your lotion, chairs, rafts, etc., because Ray’s Variety Store is located on 16th & the Boardwalk. Ray’s has everything but the kitchen sink. A public restroom is easily accessible and is located on the beach nearby.
