What is the basis for saying there will be a dramatic improvement in the air-conditioning system reliability?
The A/C system has often been among the top five product reliability problems in many mobile vehicle applications. Current A/C systems use a distributed design where the components are spread throughout the engine compartment operating in extreme high heat and vibration. There are two predominant weaknesses in the current air-conditioner system design, the loss of refrigerant gas around the compressor shaft seal, and through the flexible hoses.
