What is the basis for payment and how are the tons calculated?
Run of Mine Tons mined is the basis for payment. The tonnage is calculated using ADDCARs on board technologies which continuously ascertain the mining height and depth of mining. A density factor (supplied by the mining company) is applied to the volumes. Typically, these tonnages are trued up on a regular basis (monthly or quarterly) with certified belt scale weights.
