The most important things to remember when designing a web page are: • Speed of download • Ease of navigation • Ease of maintenance Most of the time, the speed of a download is affected by the pictures and animation in your web pages. The rule of thumb is to use small sized pictures to maintain balance between using pictures and download speed. The two most popular navigation styles are: top and bottom navigation links and side bar navigation links. Keep in mind that whichever navigation style you choose, you always need make sure that important page links should show in the navigation bar which should display on every page. To efficiently maintain your web pages, you should to organize your web pages into different folders according to the contents. For example, you should put all of your pictures into the folder called “images”. You will also want to create a “main” folder which will hold the main web pages.
