What is the basic process for establishing a charter school in Calvert County?
The logistics of establishing a charter school in Calvert County are straight forward. First we submit a Letter of Intent, followed by a Prospectus, and then our Application for a charter to the Calvert County Public School Board. The school board reviews our documentation and makes a decision about whether or not to grant our charter. Once they grant us our charter, we begin negotiations with the Calvert County Public School Board regarding all the details needed to open a school. We are currently in the process of developing our prospectus and anticipate submitting it in Spring 2007.
