Since its initiation in 2005, the Global Mayors Forum (GMF) has aimed to promote better cultural understanding for sustainable urban development. During the past four years, the International Mayors Communication Centre (IMCC) has visited numerous cities on five continents and has reached consensus on the launch of the GMF with many international organizations and local governments. The inaugural Global Mayors Forum, 2010 GMF, will be held in November 2010 in both Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.
