What is the background and history of Kaleton?
Kaleton Internet was founded in Leeds in the North of England in mid 2003. In this start-up phase a lot of assistance was received from the Prince’s Trust and also Havelock Training Ltd of Bradford for which we are very grateful. At this stage we only provided web hosting and this remains one of our core services. We soon added email accounts, domain registrations and web site design to our portfolio and quickly grew as a successful ISP. In early 2004 we launched a range of services for people who are concerned with their privacy on the Internet. The main component of this was providing our clients with offshore hosting by running web servers in privacy havens such as Panama. Since then we have become one of the leading providers of online privacy services. We have attracted a diverse set of international clients ranging from human rights organisations to e-gold investors.
