What is the Backcountry Snowsports Alliance?
The Backcountry Snowsports Alliance (BSA) is a not-for-profit organization formed to protect the interests of human powered backcountry snowsports(skiers, snowboarders, snowshoers). It’s mission is to preserve quiet, non-motorized areas on public land for skiers and snowshoers. Originally formed to further skiers/snowborders’ interests in the Vail Pass area, it is now involved in other areas of the state.
