WHAT IS THE B.F.A. ART-ANIMATION PROGRAM AT UCF?
The undergraduate Art-Animation program offered by the Art Department at the University of Central Florida emphasizes animation approached from an artistic point of view. Our goal is to discover new ways to use the animation medium for narrative and non-narrative applications. We strongly support the development of non-traditional animation, yet Art-Animation faculty are committed to helping students acquire the skills needed to compete in animation job markets. The Art-Animation program encourages students to contribute both to existing animation markets and also to new outlets for their creati ve products such as the Internet, CDROM / DVD authoring, and emerging media venues. Throughout the program, each student is encouraged to develop a unique creative vision. By graduation, student experience culminates in the completion of a thesis project. Artists who are interested in animation should apply for this program. Visit the Art Office (Visual Arts Building, Room 105) for more informa
