What is the B.C. Family Bonus program?
The B.C. Family Bonus and the B.C. Earned Income Benefit are tax-free monthly payments designed to help low- and modest-income working families living in British Columbia with the cost of raising their children. These benefits are combined with the Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) into a single monthly payment. Under the B.C. Earned Income Benefit, families whose earned income is more than $3,750 may be entitled to payments. The maximum monthly benefit is dependent on the number of eligible children and the family’s net income.
