What is the Aztec Center Student Union? Is it different than the Aztec Recreation Center?
Yes, the Aztec Center Student Union is different than the Aztec Recreation Center. Student Union is the commonly used term to describe an on-campus ‘student life’ facility. Aztec Center (home to Montezuma Hall, the bowling and games center, and other facilities) is SDSU’s current Student Union. Modern Space is designed to give SDSU a New Student Union, one that will more aptly serve SDSU’s 30,000 students and provide an improved medium for students to gather, study, learn outside of the classroom, eat, and play.
