What is the average shelf life of an Eagle Brand Premium Dessert Kits®?
All Eagle Brand Premium Dessert Kits that contain peanuts have a shelf life of 12 months. All of our other Eagle Brand Premium Dessert Kits have a 15-month shelf life. Look for the “Best if used by” date on the bottom of each box that indicates the date by which you should use your kit. Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk has a shelf life of 24 months. In order to determine the production date of the Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk in your dessert kit, find the production date code on the bottom of the can. An example code reads 7244577 17:51 01A. The “7” indicates the year it was produced. “244” indicates the Julian Date Produced. “577” is the manufacturing Plant Code. “17:51” is the military time, “01” is the Product ID and the “A” means it was the first shift (“B” is second shift).
