What is the average monthly wage of a sixth form Physics teacher?
If you assume that the teacher is experienced and has taught for at least 6 years a main scale teacher will earn £30k+ rising to £35k+ when on the upper spine without promotion for resposibilities like head of department – this is in a standard high school – but very few teachers in high schools teach exclusively 6th form students – most have to teach all ages through out the school. There are different rates of pay in sixth form colleges.
