What is the average lifespan of a Great Dane?
I have 3 Great Danes in my House hold currently, The father of the litter is now 9 years old and runs up and down stairs, still loves to play and is very energetic, large breed dogs do have shorter life spans than smaller dogs, but it all circles back in to how you take care of your dog, controlling how heavy they get is going to determine how long they live, we have kept a close eye on my Dane’s weight and exercise him daily, they are couch potatoes so it has to come from you to make sure he gets enough exercise and you should have a long living happy dogs, great Danes are just a joy to have around if you can get past having a dog look you in the eye on its hind legs (I’m 6’5″ tall) 🙂
