In my town, the average firefighter earns about $140,000.00 a year, and retires with approximately 85% of their salary after 30 years. Most retire at 51 and go on to become professional beach volleyball players. They are held up to be true heroes for doing what they are paid to do. They retain their youthful appearance by sleeping 1/3 of the time of the 12.5 days a month they work. They are very culturally aware, as much of their time is spent watching TV. Often, they have a wife and a girlfriend or two. If they are over 30, they are as likely as not on their second family. They are always in good shape -they are paid to exercise 2-3 hours a day. They usually have good tans due to their boating activities on their days off.
