What is the average Grade Point Average/MCAT score of those that get into medical school?
In recent years the average GPA of a successful UA medical school applicant has ranged between 3.6 and 3.7 to an MD school, and around 3.4 to 3.5 to a DO school (click here for the differences between MD and DO medical schools). The average MCAT score of a successful applicant has typically been in the high twenties. Students with a GPA below 3.0 or an MCAT score below 24 are rarely admitted.
