What is the average energy cost per Mega Watt for Coal, Oil, Gas, Nuclear, Wind, Sea, etc.?
Great link Gone Galt. From that link, it is pretty clear that we need to be moving to nuclear. Moving to nuclear from my estimates using our current consumption will save about $100 billion a year in comparison with any other plan on the books. The best thing is that it will save money in comparison with how we now produce energy. Why the AGWers in Washington would propose a bill that does not include nuclear as a clean source of energy is truly beyond me. It is as if they don’t really care about the environment, only their own pocketbooks. I sincerely doubt this would be even a major issue that we need to argue. Since they can produce nuclear power at such a cheap price, they need only loosen the red tape around nuclear power for it to take over the market. Once again it is one of those cases where loosening the confines and moving away from gov’t control will help out much more than tightening. In fact why are we even arguing about AGW.
