Depends on the place, city, and clientele. In Vegas you have fine dining servers who make anywhere from 50k up to over 100k. Plus a lot of them are union jobs and they can retire from them after 20 years. Hard to believe. I have a lot of friends who have chosen this life instead of other things they really wanted to do. I know a guy who had a Law Degree and Gave up his job as a D.A. to pursue fine dining. He said he made 110k last year but he admits he has sold his soul to the place.
