The average total installed cost /MW of Wind Power is in the range of Rs60-70mn, depending on the site locations, for Onshore MW class machines. What are the key challenges you face? How do you plan to overcome these road blocks? From an industry standpoint the key challenges are (a) Prospecting and acquiring land for Wind farms (b) complexities in permitting of such sites (c) high cost of debt (d) lack of appetite of lenders to fund on non-recourse basis (e) evacuation constraints (f) feed in tariffs not sufficient for comparative returns against other energy generation sources.
