For individual food processing applicant, the maximum funding available is $15,000 for MAFRI recognized Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program and $20,000 for MAFRI recognized Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program with additional funding of $3,000 for each additional HACCP plan up to a maximum of three additional HACCP plans. For the traceability programs, a maximum of up to $4,000 is available. Slaughter houses could be eligible for funding of up to $10,000. Funding can be used for such things as identification, registry, software, training and other expenses related to the traceability system. All above funding are a maximum of 90% government and 10% applicant (in cash). Eligible expenses must be incremental, program related and non-capital in nature (consultant fee, training cost, related employment cost etc.) unless pre-approved by MAFRI. Q9.
