A. The authority for the MHIP is Colorado Revised Statute (CRS) 24-32-Part 31 and Colorado State Housing Board Resolution #38 and Division of Housing Rule #1. The purpose of the program is to provide consumer protection for owners and life-safety protection for occupants of manufactured homes through the proper installation of these manufactured products. The program took effect on July 1, 2001. Inspections began on home installations after September 1, 2001.
