What is the attendance & tardy policy?
ATTENDANCE POLICY Students at Mt. Juliet Elementary School follow the attendance policy set forth by the Wilson County School Board. Attendance at school is of the utmost importance to a student’s success. Please help us keep tardiness and absenteeism to a minimum. The State of Tennessee requires that all elementary schools have 95% attendance rate; therefore, it is important that all students attend school daily. Although absenteeism can become a problem, if your child is running a fever, nauseated, or vomiting, he/she should be kept home. Please make sure that the office has up-to-date emergency numbers in the event your child gets sick at school. In order for an absence to be considered as an excused absence, your child should bring a note indicating the reason for the absence within three days of returning to school.
