The ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) is a £1 per person contribution ATOL travel firms pay into a protection fund called the Air Travel Trust (ATT). The ATT is managed by the CAA and in the event of an ATOL travel firm going out of business the fund is used to protect customers abroad and refund those unable to travel. To ensure you are ATOL protected, you should continue to look for the ATOL logo and ATOL number in brochures and on websites, and on Confirmation Invoices once a booking is made.
