What is the atmosphere like?
This dance is intended to be a place where people feel welcome. It is an especially good atmosphere for those re-entering the singles world after a divorce. People are friendly here and sharing God’s love with each other and developing friendships is a regular part of this event. The decor is often festive to create a party atmosphere and the lighting is studio lighting, dimmed except during the lesson. There are some colored accent lights and no strobe lights or flashing lights. The music has been so good that we dance til we drop at every dance and it’s loud enough keep the energy and make it easy to dance to while being able to carry on a conversation and hear each other without shouting in each others ears. You will not leave this dance with laryngitis or a headache. We honor God with brief opening and closing prayers. People are encouraged to attend the church of their choice and if they have no where to go, people are reminded to invite someone to church with them.
