The A.I.T.R. is a National professional association founded in 1959. At the present time there are about 6.000 members. It is a permanent member of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) and of the Standing Liaison Committee of Physiotherapists within the E.C. (SLCP). It collaborates with a variety of training and research organizations.
