What is the ARX Multi Q?
Taking into account what we’ve discussed above, let’s look at the features the ARX Multi Q parametric equalizer has to offer. The Multi Q features 6 bands or channels of parametric equalization. It has full frequency control over all bands and a Q variable from 1/20th of an octave through to over 3 octaves and up to 18dB of cut or boost available on each band. So even if things just stopped there, it would a pretty good Parametric EQ. But there’s a whole lot more! The feature that sets the Multi Q above all the rest is this: Based on the design premise that many program sources often need only one or two frequencies modified, the Multi Q makes spare or unused channels available for other signals. Plus, its unique internal patching system (AutoLink) means all this can be accomplished without the need for handfuls of patch leads.
