What is the articulation between the three schools – Cave Hill, UWI Department of Management and Barbados Community College?
The University of the West Indies has three schools of business, one in Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados. All of the schools are limited liability companies with formal affiliation agreements with the UWI. The Department of Management Studies is a department within the Faculty of Social Sciences. The three schools as a part of their affiliation are directly articulated to the Faculty of Social Sciences. The schools leverage faculty from the Management studies department as well as other departments in the Faculty of Social Sciences. (The term Faculty in this instance is similar to the term School in many US universities). The Barbados Community College is a separate and distinct institution to the UWI but does have very close working relationships as are the other community colleges in some of the OECS territories.
