The Arthroplasty Practitioner Service is a new way of seeing patients, who require care before and after hip and knee joint replacement surgery at Wrightington Hospital. This service is made up of 2 advanced practitioners from both nursing and physiotherapy professions who work with your Consultant and his team to ensure that the care you receive is of the highest quality. Why do we have the Arthroplasty Practitioner Service? The Trust has introduced this service to ensure that the clinical professionals responsible for your care has sufficient time and support to tailor your care to meet your individual needs. What will happen at an Arthroplasty Practitioner Follow up Clinic?The Arthroplasty Practitioner Staff can provide the following: Undertake a range of clinical examinations appropriate to the patient needs. Organise routine investigations such as x-ray and blood tests. Review your x-rays with you and discuss ongoing long-term management. Make further appointments with your consul
