What is the Army College Fund?
Combined with the Montgomery GI Bill, the Army College Fund (ACF) is a program of the U.S. Military that allows a qualified individual to receive as much as $83,448 to put towards a college education as of 2010.ConceptThe program is designed to fill positions in the military that are in need of recruits. Hence, only certain jobs are eligible and a recruit must commit to a qualifying Military Occupational Specialty code in order to be offered the ACF bonus.HistoryThe Army College Fund originally was authorized by Congress in 1979.
