What is the Aristotelian Corpus?
A. The Aristotelian Corpus is the collection of works written by Aristotle, a Greek philosopher who lived from 384-322 BCE. In the early Middle Ages, few of these works were known apart from the logical works translated by Boethius in the sixth century, such as Aristotle’s Categories and his Topics. Aristotle’s ethics, his metaphysics, and his natural philosophy did not become generally available until the early thirteenth century. They were first translated in the late twelfth century.
